This situation is where a system that built space dynamically (during the universe) as the playerbase increased would be beneficial.

Simple. Make the maps smaller and just add layers pending player base growth upon steam. Would the reduced size of map decrease chance of server/network lag we get once in blue moon?

What are we trying to achieve here?

I think the current system works just fine. While I'm all in favor for a larger - possibly limitless kind of universe - You can make the map "FEEL" smaller simply by limiting the number of pathways through it.

Create more choke points - this is "terrain" itself.

Someone mentioned - when was the last time you saw people... I've been asking this same question. I frequently prospect wild-space - and I RARELY ever see anyone unless it's in a Prody gal. Considering the number of players - I would expect to see more people...

Choke points are a bad idea as they make territory much too easy to defend.

If we wait for that list to be completed, we are not going to need a player reset for the steam luanch, the current playerbase will be dead.

A few years ago, sassing Strawberry Pancakes would have gotten you a swift boot. But since we're in the enlightened age of Pax Tradorum, I'll just apply a gentle correction. Last uni's tallies for galaxies lost:

Eminence Front: 127
Traders: 0

So yeah I don't think we have a problem defending our gals. :roll: Why do you think EF was so salty in the other thread?

I believe he's throwing shade at the topic in my signature. The Player List of Pre-Greenlight Necessities.

While the dynamic system is on the list, I wasn't suggesting the entire list here. Just that one. So he's being a douchenozzle.
