Post New base Textures / Models, give feedback here
Hello all, I've been quiet up till now and I would like to ask you people for any opinions or suggestions towards these new player base kits.

I would like the focus to be towards the junkyard, normal, fortified, laconia, demented, and adamantiumized kits as currently there is no color associated with the materials, and I would prefer if the community had some influence in this feature as I feel the community should be involved within SS's development.

Currently:
Normal Base = normal grey color
Fortified Base = Darker grey with black plated corners.
Laconia Base = Light grey with top plating.
Demented Base = Dark blue with top and corner plating.
Adamantiumized Base = Red with small top plating.

-I love the rusted look for junkyards.
-Metalic for normal kits is just fine.
-Fortified kit looks cool with the platings.
-Laconia should be different in my opinion - looks exactly like a normal kit when zoomed out I imagine.

As for Dem and Ada, I think they could use some more love. Based on that HQ kit (that thing looks freaking amazing by the way) it looks like a lot more can be done to make a station look more alive and bad-ass than I thought was possible before. I'll PM you some ideas :)

Dark blue for Dementium seems nice to me. I'm not too crazy about the red Ada bases but I don't have a suggestion either, at this time.

Why not make the Paxian,Mzungu & Urqa's bases look more unique

like the Paxian base in Paxius and the Mzungu outpost in the start of every new Uni and the urqa base like the one in Iq'Bana :)

I can just make out its slightly different but I feel it can be distinguishable between them.

Thanks for the suggestions in a pm, I would paste your message here but I think I would be breaking the forum rules.

- The ruin bases like before I think changing the model to suit the ruin type would be best, if people agree.
- Green & red glow animation for gingerbread house sounds neat!

Glows can be altered but it wont represent the tech of the base anymore, something like the gingerbread house wouldn't be much of a issue if theirs only 1 tech type of that kit as the tech glow can be pretending, but would cause issues if the tech of the base was changed in the future. This is why I'm attempting to avoid changing glows of other bases that have different tech levels associated with them. Thanks again for the responses! :)

Ada kit is nice but it looks flat. The six triangular parts could have some depth in z-axis.

Three added reinforcement parts of dem kit look like they don't have thickness.

Other than that, looks very nice.

:shock: That ada kit is amazing. Dem and Gingerbread also look good :)
Suggestion: since T18 and T20 share the same color indicator maybe you could make the T20 kit color a bright red. Would go really nicely with both the blue and the red kit I imagine. T18 can be kept the same color then :)

Then the color of the Anni Cannon would have to change as well. Could be better to make it a grey/brown/black glow >=o but just preference.

Or if Achilles is changed, both Cannon and Pulse would need color modifications. Don't forget the Anni Beam and Anni Laser X-Z

I have nothing against bright red anni mags / beams :D
Achilles gear could stay green since the tech indicator would also be the green-yellow :)

Cause ada got changed so did the ada hq.

Added Paxian bases thanks to that model the texture is questionable though, but it looks neat when you put a model on top of each other to make it look like ice.

Updated golden kit texture to better fit and altered the glow to gold on the top section.
