The dev team shouldn't do something because there is enough interest. You need to make it interesting for the player base to show interest. If you, as dev team, find it interesting & you have plans on how to bring it over to the player base, that seems interesting, then you should implement it. It's an advertisement company, they don't wait until people show interest that they'll make an advert for something, they'll make an advert and make it so people find it interesting.

Lately there have been a lot of initiatives of the dev team (Ryan and Pixel), and there has been plenty of good & constructive response on the forums about the changes. Now you need to try to get the changes and your ideas over to 90% of the player base that doesn't read the forums.
