If it ever were to be considered... It wouldn't need to be a mission, could just be a commodity just like how Bindomite is, except you would have to spend a great deal of time acquiring one.

I don't care how it's acquired as long as it's not just a random drop. I want a reason to play the game, to farm, to kill ubers. If there is some way of getting this after x amount of tasks completed, then I'm all for it.

Creating a resource with only the purpose of getting to rebindo gear would break the bindo system. It's supposed to sink ITEMS. It doesn't sink anything else and never did(bindo doesn't sink credits, only reallocates), so getting rid of that limitation would essentially make the "can't rebindo" limitation moot.

The items that need to be sinked out, have already been sinked out. Everything is just gotten on a legit way, if there are still too many items in the game with a sink, that means that the item is useless, that it is dropped to frequently or that you blitz through said tech lvl.
Look at the amount of commod sinks, there is Industrial Commods & those new Kalthi Skills. It is just making the end game stronger & richer, just like Bar Skills.

You're arguing that we should remove the whole neurobinding aspect of bindomite. That aspect exists specifically to bring items out of the circulation. No matter the cost, it would be either useless or too good.

No, I mean that having a way unneurobound it while loosing mods should be something.

Having a way to unneurobound it would make you not lose the item. Losing the items for a chance to get something is the whole point. The extra stat thing is secondary.

People are already complaining about the gap between noob and pro being far too wide and impossible to catch up with. If you add any kind of grinding to beef up the gear you have into the game that gap will become even larger. I'm still against this suggestion.

If the grinding is doable by literally anyone, then it's not going to widen the gap anymore than the current "system" is doing.

Only way to widen the gap is to add gear and cred sinks, this is the opposite of that. I dont get how you can oppose something like this?

Yea I'm not sure how adding new bps and skills that cost more than the average noob's income over his entire SS career is a better plan than adding things accessible to everyone without hilariously inflated prices.

That's just low man... :(

On topic, I agree that credit and item sinks for power benefit the higher echelon of players more than they do the lower echelon. That's not how you lower the divide...

If bindo were done right it'd be the same thing as scrapnotes, but more fine grained. Got 200 storage ships full of useless stuff you got from DGs? Well, that's some bindo material for you. It would also make it an actual item sink at all levels.

I fail to see how difference is playtime isn't the same as difference in wealth in this scenario @red and @ lemon
