Post Add MF to Ship Mastery Augmenters
Curious to know why the aug doesnt have mf. It could help replace pieces ofhydra gear on setups

MF augs should (and will) be specific augmenters built around the MF stat, as Hober tells me. No Ship Mastery augs, as it will become pointless to have 7.5% MF bonus when all the real MF augs deal with 100%, 200%, and 300%.

It will. To MF another weapon, you need 100%. If all the augs are only dealing in numbers divisible by 100, you don't get partial MF from anywhere, then even a five aug T22 ship will be unable to MF another weapon with all slots filled by Ship Mastery 22's. You need 6 Ship Mastery 22's to break the 100% mark. And by then, I'd rather have 6 normal augs.

As Churchill is saying, we are going to do away with equipment giving 25% MF and similar. That means it will indeed be pointless to have a small fraction like 7.5%.

i dont want to talk setups here but I believe it would be useful. No harm done in any other instance

Basically 2 mast augs means one less hydra gear you have to use

Again, we are removing the MF bonus from Hydra gear and making it so that there will never again be partial MF gear of that kind.

The thing I like the most about this aug is that it fills a void for incomplete setups, if you only have 3/4 augs ready for the setup you want to do, ship mastery makes it so you can plug the hole and still use your setup while you're building or finding the last aug.

And the aug should have all the stats possible =) I think they are very balanced augmenters, not too powerful to be included in specialty setups, and not too weak to be neglected altogether.

I agree, once the augs got stuff like Elec Temp, Crit Chance, and Drone Ops, they became quite competitive.
