Post Loot Box's
Change the current dg boss drops to a 1size loot box on death, Whch then breaks into possible drops from that dg DF, Could have differant boss's have slightly rarer/more items/box.

Seems a whole lot easier than giving dedicated slots for scooped items which will add a lot of confusion to many players, Keep it simple!

Loot box's!

Could do it for virtually all boss's and name the box after them, Undead Jey Lootbox

Oh cool, kill a boss and you can open it's treasure chest. The only problem would be something like this:
A group of random people kills a PPS dg boss, a treasure chest drops. The player who scooped it opens the chest and the others don't know what was the reward. The loot was a oomping burst*forceful but the scooper says "no guys it's just some crap perilium blueprint let's do more".

Most people are pretty honest in my experience and generally people do PPS DG's in-team. So you'd just be a shitty person all-round to say that it's nothing good. This change would be great for all, Speed Demons and Seers can DG without needing a bitch scooper and low level players can DG and scoop loot which may be in demand without them realizing it and leaving it.

Don't DG with shitty people then?
It's not all that different from the current system, if the person scoops their oomping burst or whatever, that little text box saying they scooped it isn't going to change whether they give it to you or not.

I feel like this would ruin one potential idea I had about making it possible to drop loot from your loot inventory thing from PvP deaths.

No idea if that'd be a thing, I was just thinking it'd be a good way to make PvP potentially worthwhile without screwing over people dropping their gear.

Then make the loot boxes also drop on pvp death if the victim has one in inventory? I like the idea but you devs would probably have to do some extra coding to make it say in galaxy/squad chat what were the loot box rewards if someone opens them, or make the debris appear on player's ship if the box is opened. The extra work means you're less likely to add this feature.

people usually roll for the box, then the winner opens it.

Only if, when you open loot, it goes straight into your new Cargo Slot instead of into your Hull... and Cargo Slot's can drop on death. :twisted:
