I think this would make it too easy for high level players to get inertia dampening for free.

Inertial dampening is a rare stat, and I think giving it out via a skill would make it trivial, and at that point it may as well be automatically given. Besides, ZoC is useful! _________________ T21 Skills and Dailies Guide - Personal Wiki Contributions - Monthly Wiki Contributions |

Yeah its useful, but there is literaly no drawbacks to let the skill have like 20% inertial dampening at level 100.

Inertia Dampening is not particularly rare – there are lots of ways to obtain it as long as you are willing to use specific gear pieces. We intend to keep it that way. It definitely affects combat, so I simply disagree with you there. _________________ Hi, I'm Anil, a long-time player turned developer. Would you say there are "literally no drawbacks" to arbitrarily making players stronger? _________________ Hi, I'm Anil, a long-time player turned developer. So is every bar and imperial skill. you just need suficiently enough credits, but it doesnt mean every person gets it.
It wont make players any stronger than what they currently are. |

This idea is retarded. Concussions were added partly to fight MCing, and yet they still have out ships, capacitors, and augmenters that give this stat. And make no mistake; this stat exists for and was put in for MCing. So quit asking to get it for free, and build or buy the items available ingame that give you this for pretty cheap already...

It does however affect bosses and knockback weaponry and mechanics. Some bosses have knockback mechanics that were not designed to have everyone be less affected by it. It's better to keep it a useful stat found in few items and ships imo than to just give it out like it's candy during Halloween. Can really mess with bosses now and in the future, as well as knockback weaponry. _________________ T21 Skills and Dailies Guide - Personal Wiki Contributions - Monthly Wiki Contributions |

Imperial skills are unthinkably harder to get in bulk compared to ZoC. There is no comparison. Even high level bar skills are much harder to get, considering the credit cost. You are proposing that any player with a level 4k alt can suddenly obtain free Inertia Dampening just by clicking a button 50 times. _________________ Hi, I'm Anil, a long-time player turned developer. "everyone"
I bet that less than 5% of all players have the skill and if the skill had inertial dampening, I wonder how many people would get a class reset for the skill. It's like saying that you shouldn't be able to have shield monkeys on your side, because bosses are balanced to kill you. It is not a true argument because you're just using the game mechanics to make life easer on your side. If im willing to spend 5k skill points to have inertial dampening than it should be possible for me counter inertia. Your'e making it sound like it would be game breaking, but it just makes life easer for someone who chose to spend skill points on being less mobile by explosions. |
