Can we have some alternative method to get this? Really don't fancy having to run the race course for the 10th time.
Nightmare Speedy Gonzales? 10b flat credits? Some rare commod? Items that needed to be grinded for? _________________ Reddit Space Invaders! |

I dont see the problem. This T20 is a lot more interactive than "Kill X uber for X item potentially completely unrelated for free skill up, or buy for relatively high price for a new player".
Deal with it? _________________ |

The only reason micron would make anyone salty is if they don't know how the course works, Otherwise anyone with a few hundred mil can gear a half assed travel ship and run it easily. It should only take a few runs to understand the gist of how it works, and they give you plenty of practice, so i don't see the problem.

Do they still make you do all 10 runs even if you're already beating it under the time required by run #10?

To my knowledge, yes, they are. I'm all for an option to just skip to the race and do just the one run, since the interaction and test is still the same in the end.

I think three times through would be a good compromise.

I'm against it being the sole requirement for Engine 20. This is an open world game. Open world games don't bog the player down with bottlenecks.
I also find racing in an MMORPG to be boring as shit, especially when the rest of Micron is actually UNFINISHED CONTENT. I have dedicated racing games for when I want to race. _________________ Reddit Space Invaders! |

Except, you don't seem to understand that on the other hand, i'm (And im sure some people agree with me here) all for it.
If dev's update it to be better or more polished than it is then sure, but as it stands Engines is one of the few skills that has a mission line that actually relates to the skill itself- ENGINES - and not some mumbojumbobullshititemturninboringquest that is completely uninteractive, boring, and basically just there to stop people like you from bitching so damn much about something that makes sense in the damn game but is "Not to your liking", and of course if it's something that you, specifically, do not like then fuck everyone elses opinion, it must change!!!111one No seriously, if you can't stand spending 10 freaking minutes in a cheesy racecourse that any average idiot can learn to train your engines skill, why the hell do you still play? ESPECIALLY considering you only have to do it once per character. Seriously man, to me this looks like you whining that you cant just buy some obscure commod for it because you're too damn lazy to do it the proper way. Edit: Excuse my obvious tilt The only compromise here i would agree with, is alternative forms of the same point concept: To use a fast ship (and good ENGINE) to outrun and outmaneuver, or travel fast. This could be done in an ACTUAL race (not the time attack we have), or perhaps a kind of dodgeball? idk, but regardless, i do not and will not agree in any form with having some silly commod style mission where you can just buy out of it. Those missions are everywhere, and extremely stale and unimaginative. Which is why i defend the interesting ones like Radar and Engines where leveling the skill makes some damned sense. I'd even go as far as saying i'd like to see MORE of those kind of mission options across the board for lower Techs, as it would be more interactive than current and way less Stale to the new player. _________________ |

Exactly, I am lazy as fuck. I can't simply bust out my combat ship and do it the way the rest of the game allows me to do.
