SD is probably one of the harder classes to do this on. My hands ache with pain after doing it because you have to dodge around for ages just to get this stupid immense shield bank down.

On Seer, Engi, FC, Sniper I sit behind the warp, autoshoot and alt+tab to another client.

Sit behind the warp with your ship and shoot fighters. Doesnt matter what setup, I could do it in a EFDread just as easy as a vazi

What was the suggestion?

Brute Force was created pretty much for SD only, the idea was that you should be forced to dodge or you will die. So if others can just sit behind the wormhole we need some counter for that tactic.

We could make the wormhole orbit the system, like for the Electrical Engineering 22 Subspace uber, Sahvika iirc. With enough precision and a mobile enough ship you could still do this, but at that point I think it's okay.

Edit: Or make his weapon ethereal? Would also deal with envelopment spam.

Could make the warp 10 size, also make lots of small suns fly around fast. That would make it so SD is the only class that can "take a break".

Also make his shield bank like 40% what it currently is.

Make the warp fly around as well.

Would be cool to see a new weapon style to help SD split up enemies from groups

Brutal Ray: 100 damage, 1s recoil, 400 range, physical, 45 degrees, knockback

Wouldn't that throw off the mechanics of weapons since only Beam weapons are ethereal? Same with the wormhole suggestion, only celestial objects (stars, planets) orbit, not wormholes.

1s recoil should be more like 1.5s or 2s. Otherwise it hits rof cap too easily. Especially if you want this to be SD weapon.

Because in the upcoming resistance overhaul, Light Fighters as a general rule will have a weakness to energy or physical or both damage types. Some stuff such as Hermes and Ares will probably not have such weakness or a much diminished one because that's a core theme of Olympus in their stupidly resistant ships.

Laserbeam weapons are instant shot, and being able to delete Light Fighter users as any relatively high DPS class would be a little unfair, as Light Fighter "defense" is their speed and stealth. Laserbeams flat out ignore speed and stealth.

I would just like to clarify that I meant the AI ONLY weapon that Brute Force uses can be made ethereal (unless the balance sheets don't allow non-beams to be ethereal), thus allowing ONLY Brute Force to fire through the wormhole using a non-beam weapon so we don't have to change anything else about the boss fight, and would solve the issue of envelopment spamming drones blocking everything.
