Long universes are just not good for the economy, also some players prefer change from time to time. |

Because it allows rich players to become even richer. Once the industry is set up players pump out high amounts of commods/currency having a uni reset is a good cash sink because players need to reinvest in infrastructure |

Longer universe give greater value to fortifications. If you shorten the universe, people will start breaking down defenses. While this means more conflict as even endgame teams will not have 15 ada kit galaxies everywhere, so people can attack and *take* galaxies easier...well it makes lower end teams hell. Not worth investing in 10 ada kits, but cannot make enough money to afford 10 ada kits in the first place every month or two. And since you cannot completely rule out endgame players by "destroying" their galaxies, that means we go back to the power bloc days when either you were on DM or you were on USA. If you were not and you had something remotely of value, your galaxy was probably already dead. |

i actually agree with ReyJal for a change, which feels weird. On the other hand, maxa has a point, ultra short unis would hurt new players. Unis are supposed to be 3 months in length anyway, so lets standardize that. |

Uni time has been standardized to 4 months. |
