now on the other hand, if they gave something like 17% drone ops for 24 hours, or -12% vis +10% damage +20% rof -14% elec tempering, or [sometimes a prospected resource will extract twice with this nanite 20% chance], or in that vein;

they might not be junk anymore and might be genuinely sought after.

Currently the nanites are a waste of time and very upsetting to find. I can't stand them.

Or make them movable so you can put them in fridge and use them when you want them.
