If that was possible, then it would still suck. Even if the laser did alot of damage, it would suck at shield and such.
Apart from that, even if the zebu is good, it is crap compared to others.

Ok, then a zebu isn't crap for killing like other zebus, wing ships, rats etc. But the phunka for example can still do more, or the same but easier/faster.

Zebumaster is the pinnacle of Zebu style. Not even the mighty Giant Volcom (close cousin of Zebus) is as close to cool as that is.

Ok, I've proven that the zebu sucks.
I capped a Flyswatter Larva, and I've got a 1.5k/0.5k engine on it, 2k shielding and a decent regenerate, 100 elec per a sec means I can multifire a magcannon. I have a decent speed, and I can kill rosfires with it without denting my own shields.

I am always scared of those warp 3 zubus i kill on site before any other bg or forgone gets my attention. Someday i will get lucky and get a hit off on adum or atlum or someone before they turn and pod me for it
