Seeing that I will soonly buy a new computer, and I currently have a laptop, I will be needing a keyboard soon.
Does anybody have any cool idea's for keyboards I could buy? _________________ HAL wrote: I know this might be difficult for some people to understand, but we don't actually try to crash the server intentionally. Outcast wrote: Hi i'm a plant, nomnomnom photosynthesis |

I've had a G15 since they came out a few years ago. I love the built in macro functions, and the software it comes with is functional. But i really wish i had a higher quality keyboard, a little more sturdy.
I broke one of the spacebar hinges cleaning it one day, and there's not much you can do about it :p my suggestion: if you have cash to blow, buy a g15, see how you like it. If you don't, buy a sturdy bluetooth one, preferably made of some kind of metal. The G15 is incredible for games like WoW though, where its basically just a spam fest anyways, because you can make macros that are timed; i had a single macro for WoW that automatically sapped the nearest AI, pickpocketed them, then ambushed them when the cooldown was ready. Was pretty useful. another suggestion: instead of a cool keyboard, i'd recommend a wired laser mouse, with a high DPI value. I use a G9 personally, and i love it. It has built in buttons next to your thumb to change the sensitivity between 4 levels of sensitivity. Also has a weight system where you can change how much it weighs with small 5-10 gram inserts. Also has macro functionality, which saves lots of time. tl;dr Buy a CORDED laser mouse with high DPI instead of a KB. Or buy both. wireless laser mice eat batteries like a champ. _________________ uhmari wrote: When i look at uhmari, I can see clearly the problems in it |

Ah yeah ok then. I almost bought that mouse instead of my G9.
Honestly though, the G15 is all malleable plastic, so if you're looking for something sturdy, this isn't it. _________________ uhmari wrote: When i look at uhmari, I can see clearly the problems in it |

Personally, I use a wireless keyboard and mouse with my desktop, and love it. Being able to just lean back in my comfy chair and put the keyboard on my lap easily replicates the lounging you can do with a laptop (previously, I only had a laptop) and you dont have to worry about nasty wires in your way, or limited how much you can move them. The batteries die after about a week of heavy use (10+ hours a day) so I just use rechargeables.
I'd say, either go with a full wireless setup or go for a "gaming" keyboard like the G15. _________________ |
