Post subject:	No Admin Download?
I don't know if anyone here is decent at coding or programming, but does anyone have a clue as to how I can download and play Star Sonata without admin permissions on my computer? I was able to do this for LoL, and the change that was made to it was it would use Direct OSx or something of that sort and would launch and download without admin perms, but if this is against any rules for SS, don't bother. But if there is a way and someone has a download for it, that'd be great.

One workaround would be to download it to a flash drive and simply run the game off there, if you don't have admin perms on the machine.

you need d3d9_43 installed (which require admins right), if you already have it, then you can simply run the installer and ignore / cancel the d3d installation and the game should work fine. unless the installer require admin... now that you mention it, it might. You can download the patchbot directly. It will act as a downloader and download the game directly where you put it. So long as you do have directx 9 installed (d3d9_43 to be specific) then the game should run fine past that point. http://www.starsonata.com/sspatch/direct/patchbot.exe download that in a starsonata 2 directory (wherever you want it to be) and execute it.

Thanks mates, looks like the patch bot idea is working so far, if not i'll grab a flashdrive and give that one a go.
