I was participating in a team run with my team. We were doing piloting and weaponry 22. I had to put lkl and lku on 35 just to stop my clients from dead locking from the gunners Maul's being Death Blossomed...
This is what that looks like... http://i.imgur.com/0IefTwl.png so... can we have client 1 back please! or an option to get rid of all the 3-d stuff that my computer is not built to run with... ~YipperX5 _________________ To be: Fluid in motion. The admins are unlike to bring back C1, or develop an whole other client because your computer doesn't meet the requirements to MC. If your computer does that, either (a) you don't need to be MCing, or (b) you need a computer that can actually handle it. |

Plus, you really don't have to spend much to get a PC capable of MCing at full graphics if you're smart about it. Seriously. In fact, it's likely you could just buy a GPU for your current PC. As much as I hate MCing, your computer is crying out for help.

DBed mauls lag a lot. I used to MC with eight accounts just fine but I couldn't run 2-3 accounts with mauls.

I can run games that have come out this year and last year just fine. But whenever I tried to play SS my shit would just lock up and stall. It's not the fault of the computer owner.

It's not the fault of the computer owner. It isn't. But the developers for this game don't have dozens of employees working to improve the code. It's a bunch of guys (mostly volunteers) trying to make the experiece better for everyone. You can't expect the same amount of smoothness from an indie game as from a game with 500 times (if not more) the amount of resources at their disposal. So you really got 3 choices: 1. Quit. 2. Suck it up and play with lag. 3. Buy a better PC (or components; this game is very CPU heavy) _________________ ~DarkSteel / Auxilium Universe Map: http://www.starsonata.com/map/ |

Buy a better PC (or components; this game is very CPU heavy) Tell that to the indie game developers whose games I've played over the past 10 years that have, for the most part, managed to play very smoothly on a variety of toasters and potatoes. Tell that to Vendetta Online. That game only has less than 5 people working on it, and they were getting by for years off of the subscriptions of a small amount of players who constantly subbed. They've been a company since 1998, have developed their own proprietary engine for their MMORPG that is available for others to use http://www.naos-engine.com/ (Or was 1 year ago, they haven't said whether anyone else has used it or not.) And they have launched their game on the Android Market. I can give so many more examples. I'm not giving Landauer Games a break. Star Sonata was and still is an amazing game, and has the potential to be so much more. While I may fly off the handle and suggest a billion different things at times, I tend to enjoy the game as it is for the most part. I've played this game for almost ten years, and subbed for more than 50% of that time. Its a good game, but you can be damn sure it can do better. _________________ http://www.starsonata.com/suggestions |

After 7 years of getting progressively more anti-potato, SS has forced me to prepare for a non-potato machine.
