Guarding against Infectious Disease You often see peoples around the world wearing the typical face-mask or breathing-mask to protect against airbourn infections which work reasonably well. Theres one other perhaps more important thing you can do, as not all diseases are contracted via the air, and its a simple thing as it relates to something we all do every day every where we go... GLOVES! Wear protective gloves on your hands to protect yourself against all the things people touch everywhere, airports, train stations, public toilets etc.. I cant stress this enough - GLOVES! Breathing masks are one thing, but gloves are just as important! They dont have to be condom-polymer, leather driving gloves will do it, woven garden gloves will offer some protection! GLOVES dammit, GLOVES! Dont forget the GLOVES when you buy your Face-Mask!!! Come on manufactures, where's the "Protective Gloves" that are "Fassionable"???! Right. Dont say I didnt warn you. |
