Re: Hal's November Update
Oh okay then, no problem. There's already a with/without stacking formula. Thanks for clearing that up. I guess I don't need to do any additional coding then, whew.

Re: Hal's November Update
Hmmmm
Loot scoopable by the killer only, for 10sec.
Just a thought but in uber runs there is a dedicated scooper, as by convention and practicality he is a ShM, he will not be the AI killer so for 10 sec debris is going to scatter. This will need to be closely tested as it is possible that this change will be more trouble than the than the problem it is attempting to fix. This will be particulatly true when scooping guard's gear (which can be very valuable) when the boss is still fighting.

Re: Hal's November Update
The 10 second protected window on loot scooping will be restricted to the killer, his squad and his team. That should cover just about any potential situation

That should cover just about any potential situation this is fine for small runs but on bigger runs the ShMs are on a different squad most of the time... and i dont like the change anyway, just makes game more carebear...

Re: Hal's November Update
Battler, it's been put in because of your beloved f2p ninja looting halloween drops. If the player base didn't act like a bunch of asshats, stuff like this wouldn't be put it.
One thing I noticed is if you toss something overboard for someone in a trade, it's not scoopable by them for 10 seconds. This is dangerous imo, since it protects people from getting ninja'ed on drops, but makes it easier to ninja a trade in progress. HAL, could you either remove the 10 second delay on tossing items, or.. maybe make it so that if you target your trading partner and then toss it, he can scoop before the 10 second window closes?

Just squad him before trading, then he can scoop instantly. On an unrelated note, how about giving loot infinate vis?

I don't ninja loot, but i accept some people do. i would like to also point out for it to be "ninja" looting you need to be stealthed whilst doing so, (which when i last checked was bannable), looting has previously been accepted as being reason to pwn someone repeatedly but nothing has been done about it by admins until now. I just said it is making the game more carebear because some people dont tractor their drops or sit over the ai whilst killing and complained to the admins, who being more concerned with money, changed it. if your not fast your last.

Re: Hal's November Update
Ok, pwning people is fine.. and if they're in my pvp I will/would.. but what about the loser f2p who are lvl 19 so they don't lose anything, and are completely out of pvp? I've seen these guys show up at base killings in droves!
It's not right because they're 100% protected battler. Don't call it carebear because we can't even think about killing a nub without getting banned xD
