Can we please have a camera system similar to Dark Space, please?

That would help imensely, would give the game a totally new aspect, and people who want the old topdown view wont have to change it.

I don't know Dark Space. The default camera will be slightly tilted (maybe 10 - 15 degrees) and can zoom in and out. It's quite possible that the player will be able to manipulate the camera however he wants -- it's not like it's a hard feature to add. I don't want to make the camera chase, though, as I think that would be disorienting.

Client2 is running, but none of the 3d models are plugged in yet and most of the effects are as yet still unimplemented. Client2 development is currently focused on the GUI and that's all there really is to see.

No real ETA yet. Engines 20 will hopefully be in before client 2. New colony commodities are on ice as far as I know.
New emp stuff are already in, some changes are coming for next uni. External chat client will come before client 2.
