Client2 is using the Irrlicht game engine and will run full screen and not use a mix with windows like the current client. Irrlict runs in either Direct X or Open GL and on both Windows and Linux.

Why didnt u use Ogre? I have only played with it a little, but it looks pretty comprehensive and time tested.

*high fives billy* ubuntu rox man. btw, u can play ss on it right now, u just need WINE and some other thingy that simulates direct x. i can play ss on my linux comp at a whopping 1fps!
