Post Weekly Update
I've decided to start posting weekly updates to keep everyone informed on what I'm working on. Mainly it's to keep myself from being lazy. Of course, I'll only talk about things other than running credit cards and answering support emails and such that always takes a bit of time.

First, I added the ability for missions to give +1 to a skill for a reward. You still have to have the right number of skill points in order to finish the mission, and each mission specifies a range between a minimum and a maximum for that skill. If you open up the mission and then get the skill up other ways and exceed the max, you won't be able to finish it -- you will just have to cancel the mission. This will let us do things like create missions to get +1 to weaponry for lower players without worrying that people will open the mission at a low level and then keep it open until they have w19 andd use it to get w20. Look to see a lot of new missions in the future that use this.

Next, I have finally finished adding in the XML tags for all of Retyu's customized name lists. Retyu was looking for some way to help out, so he made up custom name lists for different types of AI's with about 2000 new names. I also added the ability to add random prefixes and suffixes to spawners depending on type, so extra nasty versions of a spawner can have nasty epithets so you know to watch out. These will go into effect next uni because the links to the new name lists are part of the spawner, and the spawners are all created at universe creation time. Thanks to Retyu for all his hard work. Some of his names are pretty damn funny.

This is pretty much all the work I have to do for the next uni. Moooster just built a new client for us, and Cael is finishing up a bunch of cool new artifacts that will be in the next uni. Look for an announcement of the reset date soon.

This week I plan on maybe 1 more small thing for the next uni and then it's back to working on the new client, which I think is the most important thing that SS needs right now in order to be more successful.

Is there any chance that you can ask Cael to make some more tech 15-19 ships?

Im getting up there, and as i look around, im starting to see that there is nothing to upgrade from a porp untill i get P20.

Also, keep up the damn good work.

Soulless... read other forums. There will be at least 4, yes 4 new tech 19 ships next uni so stop asking.

Drone the locu is a damn blasted gd ship, p19 and capable of taking out a lot of t20 ships, its what the DS is designed off really. But since the sup comb nerf most locus are unused, but they still own for pvp, and if you get a new locu you can design one with enough space to do DGs and stuff.
