this seperates the bases you put up to mine prom on a rainy day compared to the ones that alst teh entire uni!

Have you ever bothered trying to kill a staion with anything but a peashooter? Current bases even achielles can be killed by 1 person with a healer. Did you not notice the amount of bases killed in the traders/merc war? Bases are too weak. This upgrade was needed.


And those were strong bases... I had a couple 2x ares, athena, range achilles bases with ande chargers in Thuban... Still wasn't exactly 'difficult' to the level it should be for a 1-1.5b base...

1st I'd like to say these improvement are very well done and thought out, grats.

Theres a slight problem on base weights though 3mil for an adonis base is too much, maybe 1mil and the work the rest round this at the moment there arnt enough powerfull engines in the game to cope and certainly a low level wont have access to having one of these anyway, even with a VSB I can deploy a full adonis with a mid tech ruin engine with a seren with SM/Merchant augs, base weights want to be cut by at least 1/2 and preferably 2/3 IMO.

This would be a great addition and although dragging bases with tractors is a part of the game I think some balance could be found. maybe make them as auras, so that you could either

Healing aura (base/team healing),
Minus enemy sheild regen aura (monkey protection), or
Grav disrupting aura (add weight or something)

Auras could effect people whatever the current level and wouldnt cause agro (as they're fairly passive things)

Not that much... I think that base gear weight should be "SIZE * 500 = Weight"

Argo would be 1.5m, Ambro would be 2.5m, Ande would be 4m, Achilles would be 6m, Annih 8m... Overall though, its not a huge problem...


More important I'd say would be to cut the size of base augs down to the size of the equivilent tech gear (so regular gear size, not 2x reg gear size...) and to cut the X/Y/Z gear from 10x, 20x, 40x respectively to 5-7.5x, 10-15x, 20-30x...

I dont know aobut how easy/hard it is to kill bases. I was jsut poinitng that out more like a warning. I had no idea that higher tech stations were still that weak..

I don't really like the sound of it... 2x the base shield bank, special kits... looks like they will make it impossible for lower alts to use bases... making it impossible for lower LEVELS to use bases as well...

Not lower alts but smaller teams certainly.
