Post Weekly Update
I started out last week with a couple of bug fixes. First a fix to the spawners that was causing some asteroids to re-spawn immediatly upon death. Second a fix to thenew aug bonuses that can apply directly to all items including hulls and base-kits, which was not working for hulls and basekits because they aren't equipped.

I did the finances for August, which had the biggest paying user growth of any month so far -- after a whole summer of no growth at all. I guess people like playing SS more when they are not having fun outside. Either that or a long universe is boring and a new universe is exciting.

The rest of the week I spent doing a big merge merging in all our changes to the Irrlicht engine 0.13.0 into version 1.1, so that client2 has the latest version of Irrlict.

Unbelievable what a li'l update can do to the players' idea's about you admins. It'd be cool if other admins did it too ^^ (or 1 post for all admins)

Can someone tell me what this means? Did i miss something? Can we aug gear now?

Some gear can now have aug like abilities. Like an expander could boost by 20% etc... Like overloaders but not OL's :)

yay! this 1: proves that I was right about lots of ppl and new noobs liking this game despite all those peeps who left, and 2: My one fear that the admins would have to shut down ss from lack of funding is releived :D

Atlum added the ability for all items in the game to have augmenter stats, although there is not much in yet that uses it. I think the fine tuned gear is the first batch. The built in aug stats on hulls and basekits is not used yet that I know of (mostly because it didn't work), but you should see it in the future.

What's wrong with the slaves?
