Mostly been slacking last couple of weeks, but here's what I've done since the last update:
Added xml tags to the radars to get the "ping" values in for passive radars (using the code from one of our new Australian programmers who have not yet chosen admin names.) Passive radars can now be used to get a temporary vision bonus but with the cost of an even longer visibility penalty. Tracking shots will now stop tracking if the ship that shot them leaves the galaxy or can no longer see the target and will resume tracking if the target becomes visible again.. Maybe fixed two bug crashes that we've had in the last few days. Put up the MySpace page and announced the MySpace contest. Made it so tractor beaming your squad mate no longer causes hostility and no longer will cause slaves to attack the squad mate. Fixed a pvp level restriction go around involving slaves. Changed scooping so that if the thing you're targetting is not a scoopable type then scooping acts like you don't have anything targetted. Changed the number of coins that drop from a dead enemy so you get fewer money debris (but the total money is about the same.) Caught up with a bunch of support emails. The code changes mentioned above are mostly not in, but I'll probably patch the server soon after a little bit more testing. |

how do you ping? and i really dislike the part about bulletts stopping tracking if you cannot see them... in ur-ziqbana i can hardly kill those Iq scouts, and what i do is get my bulletts firing at them and jsut let them hit them, even when they are invisible to me... i really dislike that... bt yeah, how do you ping?

The only problem I see with the tracking is that thoraxes against some AI will 'almost never work' (SBB and SBG) due to their low vis or rather I can see it causing problems this way.
Not sure why its been done exactly it seemed to be ok as it was. As for the radars, maybe make it use elec insted, a vis penalty seems a bit harsh to me especially as most radar/stealth/vis issues are not that great atm due to the massive amount of vis pressing fire will do. _________________ ~Ferret ------------------------------------------------------- Want to make your dreams come true? join Infinate Dreams! Nah it makes good sense. Its silly to be able to get a target lock on something you can't see.

i meant, if the bullet cant see the target, but the bullet passes over where the target is, would the bullet hit the target

Yes, the bullet will still hit if it's lucky enough to intersect the target.
