With the cost in skill points of the new AT system, F2Ps would only get a few levels, meaning what ? 6-8% increase on aug stats ? It would be so neglectable compared to current AT1 that I think it is not worth debating...

imo it should be made that you cant get AT when ur lvl0-20 meaning that you can get first levels of AT when you are lvl21 and yes i hate those leeching f2pers and i think they dont deserve AT!

Again making it so only P2P can get AT is a good idea, it actually means we get something more for going p2p....

Well, I'm pretty sure that no f2p's would get that new AT. Current AT gives pretty huge bonus for augs for only 5sp.
That new AT f2p's could get only 3 levels, that would cost 6sp for bonus of 12%. At least I would use that SP for something else.. -- Blizzara _________________ "The dark night is just before the break of dawn" |

I have finished designing a new set of slightly weaker God Augmenters directally tied to these missions. I will stress again, due to method of obtaining these, they are weaker than their random counterparts. I will post tentative stats and would enjoy feedback on them. When doing so, keep in mind that these stats are not final, and are subject to change before the content is finally added.
Demeter Augmenter, Level 0. +4% Damage, +9% Range, +13% Shield Charge. Persephone Augmenter, Level 5. +150% Thrust, +20% Turning, +9% Critical Hit. Hebe Augmenter, Level 10. +72% Energy, +24% Rate of Fire, +5% Speed. Helios Augmenter, Level 13. -13% Firing, +13% Damage, +30% Electricity, +20% Weapons Hold. Heracles Augmenter, Level 16. +25% Rate of Fire, +18% Damage, +12% Range, +20% Hostility. Hades Augmenter, Level 19. +35% Recovery, +20% Damage, +11% Tractor Power, -15% Shield, -30% Visibility. For the Hades Augmenter, I am considering changing the +20% Damage to a +3% Critical Hit, and a +30% Critical Power. This means that you would have a low chance of pulling a Critical Hit, but Critical hits would be boosted considerably. Caelestis |

Not that I don't like new content, but I have to wonder why put in a one time only mission aug that is significantly less useful than the others of its tech? I'd be more inclined to use the Hades aug with the dmg boost than a 3% chance of dealing 30% more damage... |

Why are you guys still adding low tech augs and gear? There TONS of crap to use at low levels. How much is a tech 0 aug used anyway? A good player will have switched ships within a couple hours....Focus on high level content already.
The Helios aug is very interesting to me. How about a higher tech version of it with slightly better stats? Tech 19-20 with -15% firing, +20%damage, +30% elec, +20% weapons hold maybe? Hades aug should be better imo. I agree with Cyphe that I rather have a damage bonus then a 3% chance of getting a critical hit. Also the shield penalty should come with a small speed bonus, 5-6% maybe. Last edited by The Voomy One on Tue Dec 12, 2006 2:57 pm, edited 1 time in total. |

I think on those augs visibility, hostility, tractor skills, and weapon hold (except for a MF maybe) are really nothing compared to the "real" stats given bythe old god augs... I do not know what is the formula for aug balancing, but I dare hope those kind of stats are way less important than elec, recovery, damage... |
