 They don't have it based on the client, because then it is extremely easy to cheat by modifying local coding -- something you especially do not want in an MMO. Hacking a server to cause shots to miss your ship would be insanely difficult if the Star Sonata server has proper security, and would most likely fail even if it was successfully hacked and modified.
