The new Kattare test server is up and running. Point your client to test2.starsonata.com and play it for a bit and see how the performance compares to the current main server. If people think it's good, then we will move the main server to Kattare as well.

WAY TO GO ADMINS!!! new test is great. i cant find any bugs or lag so far....... just went to abso and like 0 lag, went into a DG with those mini kaspers rapid firin those things.... no lag.....

right ive checked the sever out and im from the Uk no lagg from wat i can tell ive been testing the new bays and ships out. 1 point i can equip as many bays as i like but when i go to use the amount of fighters compared to the bays (2 fighter per bay so 20 bays 40 fighters) it has a error telling me ive reached my limit. 2 is this a bug or will it be changed for when its released. if so can u change it so i can get full testing opertunity out of it using to fighter to try and kill a tint is a bit silly.
ill be checking the UZ out in a bit

I've been playing around on test2 for about 30 mins and see no changes in the communication lag. This looks good :D but I am still mapping :( and killing W0 AI and 1 DT.

I tested it an hour or so and noticed 2 things: Gals with lots of drones/shots etc. seem to lag less, but my AP fails more often than on liquid when I use my locu to fly around

Are there any player bases or colonies? (As in the amount we have a liguid) If there isnt you should move the lattest save from liquid and then test it so we can see how it deals with player bases and colonies

The Current Map / Playerbase will not be moved over to the Test Server, without having to shut down the Live Server. So just go map, after all it's only a Test Server and is likely to change soon.

And i'll repeat, he can't... New test server is an entirely new setup, new build, new gear, new everything, (including databases etc...) so he can't copy it over, unless he takes down live todo it.

Technically he could maybe take down Test, and copy it over to Test2, but depends on how standalone that is in comparison.

Also on the test server, i noticed that i had double the shields. I had around 12k instead of my normal 6k. I checked all my gear and noticed no changes

I have beefed up a lot of the lower level ships that people don't often use. If you're in a common hull, check the stats at a station, it might have gotten a max shield boost.
