First, you need a new test client, here: http://www.starsonata.com/StarSonata_TestClient.exe. This new client adds duplicate movement keys that default to the arrow keys, so you can use either a,w,d or the arrow keys to move. It also has new code to make the dialog boxes run faster.

The aug reset missions are now in and available at Shadow.

Also, if you are a returning player, you automatically get all of W0 mapped when you log into a new universe.

We have a new programmer who is a long time player. He hasn't chosen an admin name yet, and I won't out him, but from him, there is credit sharing from scoops while in squads, base transfers, and new control bots, where a control bot is either a trading control bot or a combat control bot, and your RC points are fully split between the two. So you can have a full complement of fighting slaves and a full compliment of trading slaves at the same time.

I've also updated the db on test, so everyone should be able to log in there OK.

edit: so all of these things are going to be in with new uni? all returning players get the full w0 mapped? That would be awesome

would it be possible to make two pool of drones for a similar reason? one defensive in gal and one ofensive...

Sounds good. And I have to agree that having perma and non-perma drones applied to separate groups would be nice as well.

Perhaps there could be a new mutually exclusive skill set for drones that would give you the option of either raising their offensive or defensive stats - similar to the control skills?

Possible candidates would be increased shields, increased resists, increased damage and increased range.

Base weight on panther is 1m.. kinda detrimental to dodging as either a sniper or SD.

This sounds great I can think of a few ways I could use the new controlbots to make cash easier :)
Being able to place permadrones and temporary drones too and DWO/slicers idea would both be great :D
Having w0 mappped will be quite helpful
Though sharing scooped cash in a squad doesnt sound so great unless it is only shared in the same galaxy and it would be nice if ais dropped more cash too :?
The ability to transfer stations could be great depending on what restrictions are placed on it but its still far better than the old way of transferring :roll:
Btw what will the new admin be working on? client 2 or general gameplay improvements or bug fixes or something else? :D
