Post subject:  Packet combining code on test

I have some new packet combining code on test server. Last time I tried this, several people reported that they got "out of memory error" when they were looking at their different ships. If you have ever gotten OOM bug or error, please take a second to log onto test and view the contents of your biggest storage thatch and let me know if you have any problems.

Hopefully it is good now and this code should reduce lag significantly.

I did not totally understand what you said, but is it related to my problem of getting the OOM bug right when i went into my first cap ship? And getting it ever since?

No, it has to do with the server sending the items in your ship to you.

I noticed that I no longer get the msg "You did 3026 damage to AI-Name-Here"

Is this intentional?

Yeah, I added the new commands /ShowDamage and /ShowSlaveDamage to toggle that stuff. Default is off.

How about bases? do they fall under either category?

Jeff is there a "/" command list somewhere? I tried /help and wound up in the Help chat tab.

/help tells the chat help. Other than that, there is /roll, /ShowDamage, and /ShowSlaveDamage.

Bases and drones fall under the /ShowDamage category.

And /w, /search, /ignore, /unignore, /*, ...

Would be nice for the new players to be able to see ALL of these "/" commands in one place.

Can you do a "/comands" comand that will list all of the commands in a single line?

StarSonata: /w /me /search /ignore /unignore /roll /ShowDamage /ShowSlaveDamage

etc

wewt finally, I was getting kinda tired of the damage thingy (at some times)

cuz 5 x 8-10 = spam in event chat

Could you place Bases under their own category for showing damage and update the /help? It can be quite annoying to be fighting AI and have your event tab spammed with base healing comments due to one base going through a damaging sun repeatedly.
