SD and alby and zeus+ are fine, and they're very powerful when put together. However seeing the cost, its fair play. What just totally fucks it up is the crit chance. Energy weps with SD rof and crit chance completely shut down your engine in pvp, too powerful in SD hands.

There is already some new code going in for next patch that should prevent/lessen chain critical hits. You will still get the damage bonus, but it will no longer be possible to permanently apply critical hit tweaks to an enemy ship.

Perhaps make a aura when the crit hit occurs, that makes you impervious to being crit-hit again for 3 seconds...so crit hits=3second engine failure, then for another 3 seconds 3 second impervious.

I'm guessing its what the admins had in mind, and something like that would only reduce SD crit brokeness, not screw over Seer, woo.

and make gamma or beta dgs doable. Having 20+ energy weapons fired at you constantly really screws your engines
