Here is my suggestion i madea while ago, on Tractor subskills, could this be loked at Sal? i think with some twaeking, it would be well worth putting in, would make a reason to get emp bio more profitable, not to mention the rush to get down there and secure it.

This isn't making tractors useless, just making them have less range....Everyone managed with them before the bug which gave them extra range, so I don't see why people will struggle after...

it doesn't make SD better because SD's get less range, it makes SD's better because people cant possibly get near enough to them with tractors to hold them back

and since NONE of the far end augs add Tractor skills besides engineer, there is nothing we can do besides these skills to improve something useful.

Also you may have noticed Sal mentioned that the tractor efficciency skill was broken as well. If my tractor starts using double the power there is no way I will be able to power it even using an energy with higher regen than the tractors output.

Good luck holding onto a SD when the tractor will now be using 4 times the elec than used to be used to hold a ship at that range. That is presuming the power usage to range calculations are altered to fit the new max range.

While fixing the bug is important, its also important to keep the balance. While efficiency with tractors currently may be a bit too much, range on most of them is just fine with subskills.

If you are going to fix the issue with tractors then increase the range decently on quite a number of them to keep them usable: I get 1250 range on the Constable tractor and find that is still not enough in both PvE and PvP.

I also agree with Shod on the issue of this nerfing slower classes in PvP due to it being one of their only ways to even try to keep faster ships in a damageable range. The only other method is the PWI, which is sure not an acceptable solution to tell everyone to obtain.
