So I need to emulate an emulator in order to run this... nice going. I mean OS X and most linux distros have native java support and you make it into an exe. It's probably full of VB too isn't it... This is just a beta. It would take me 20 seconds to export the mac and linux versions, which I will do as soon as we are sure its ready. |

You told me last night that you didn't like him and wasn't going to give him mod powers on the Chat Client! Anywho, I'm just telling you great job again. _________________ "Sod this - all skills in Sol for $10 each, let's go to the pub" BeanSidhe *Staring at admins for C2 preview* Everyone join in! |

Was just screwing around with it today and found that if you close the client with the X at the top in the corner the process "Star Sonata Chat.exe" keeps running in the background, keeping you from opening it with the .exe again. It says that you are still running another session of the chat.
There is nothing that says "Star Sonata Chat" in applications in the task manager, but it is still running in the processes tab and there is no icon in the system tray like there would be if you minimised it. Obviously you can go into the task manager and end the process manually and start up a new client, but you shouldn't have to do that, now should you? Just exposing that for you if you didn't already see it. EDIT: Closing the client through the file menu, the use of Ctrl+Alt+Delete, or minimising it to the tray, right-clicking, and clicking exit all work properly. Closing it with the X does not. |

That is on purpose... most chat clients dont close when you hit X they just minimize to the tray. |

But the problem is that is doesn't minimise to the tray, only the process runs. There is no way to access the client again after you've closed it except the end the process and start a new client. That's what I'm getting at. =P

it does minimize to the try, down where all that bullshit is that starts up with windows. Right click it and it will close.

Okay, I just got it to work properly. Deleted the client and redownloaded it and it minimizes to the tray when you X it out. Nevermind then. =P

One can also fully close the chat client by selecting 'Exit Chat' from the chat client's 'File' menu.
