I need a volunteer artist to become part of the team that works on Client2. This will give you the opportunity to contribute to your favorite game. If you're interested and have skill, pm me a link to your portfolio. Preference would be someone that has experience with photoshop and a 3D modeller, as well as someone who lives near Eastern timezone (+/- 4ish).

As a trial, look at this link and send me some resources that could be used for this (the things he says to create in photoshop, etc, especially the sun texture):

if i find the website again... it showed some nice resources like making planets with deep texture with a 2-d/3-d look, asteroids and other stuff too... but chances of me finding it again is slim...

Nope. So far you're the only who's actually sent anything in, but I would really like someone with some 3D experience. However, I may contact you later about stuff.

I sent an email to jeff a while back, a friend of mine is a 3rd-artist (and he's awesome), but I got no reply. I don't know if he would do it for free, though, he doesn't even know SS..

i would love to apply to help you with work as i am fairly well skiled in illustrator and photoshop however i have no skill in any 3D software at all

We've already contracted a 3D artist to do most of the work, this would be mostly touch ups, which is why i wanted a volunteer that i can depend on.

What kind of 3D do you want? Like Blender 3D type stuff?

If you know how to use blender, more power to you... That thing is tough to figure out. Any 3D program that can export to .x and .obj files is good. (3dsmax, maya, blender)

I have a little blender experiance. Stopped playing with it a while ago when my laptop wasn't powerful enough to do liquids at a decent speed. Let alone liquids that were of high quality.

If you still need someone to do this i have blender experience and photoshop. Im good for it if it is just for touch ups and stuff.

This thread that you bumped was well over a month old. Dont do things like that, it just annoys people.
They are looking for a proper graphical designer, someone who does it as their job. Not someone that pisses about making spaceships using another games graphical software to do it.
He may have made a borgship, that doesnt mean that he has the least talent when it comes to proper graphical work.
