I Really like the banners the guys provide, however most of them lack one very important thing.
They do not use ingame graphics, Id say thats a very important thing

Hey, guys, as i understand none of the banners that steal stuff from eve banners can win?

Well, they use grafics from eve, i suppose it's not completly legal (though i really doubt EVE would pay much attention). I don't feel like cutting stuff out from eve banners and pating it is the right thing to do.
Is this kind of stuff alowed? And isn't it better to wait until client 2, when you have better grafic to put on the banner?
Also i whant to ask- should I use in-game grafic, or use my own models?

I dunno about the actual ships being stolen, but the style is. EVE adverts do the exact same sort of thing, doubt its illegal, but it hardly looks good for SS.

Have any of you seen the EVE adverts recently? They dont even use flash banners. They have high quality ingame footage of the smexy 3d ships firing smexy 3d weapons.

Those ships used in some of the adverts arent EvE ships. They are generic, stock spaceships and you may notice they are used on the SS website already as the background on the screenshot page.
They look similar to EvE ships because they are spaceships and EvE is a space game.
As to copying the style of their adverts, they are both space games so there is always going to be areas of similarity between the two.

Can you tell me which entry numbers are using graphics from EVE? Those should be disqualified.

None of them do. It's just the overall "style" that is EvElike in some of them.

Anyway, you need to find out the exact size of the allowed SFW files. 50k leaves nothing to work with and the end result is still shit.

MagicSteve- eve banners are in flash, there are no 3d models that are being played in your browser, i know that as i am a 3d artist, so please don't argue on that. I doubt you will see any add that uses in-game grafics, because it suks. i would rather wait for c2 and make add using that grafics. If you relly whant an add now i could models some of eathforse ships, and some other in-game ships, and maybe put together some nice looking add. If you eng competition now and accept these projects you are just waisting 400$, at least that's my opinion. yes, there are a couple of ok banners, but i cant see any that would really cost 400$.
These ones look very much like eve ads.. i need still to check to be absolutly sure, but so far they look extremly simular.

You may have to refresh that page, but it gets an EvE advert 1 every 4 refreshes I found.

Lol really? I just refreshed it ten times and got 6 EvE adverts, cant understand. Maybe its different for every person.
