I had someone I knew start a while ago and he ran into the problem of selling his ship and not being able to buy one back. An undo button on the ship menu would have solved that problem, buys back the ship and its equipment it had.

I did that on my MagicSteve character, if I hadnt I wouldnt be the Stooch I am today.
Sold my ship and didnt have enough to buy a new ship and an engine.

You really shouldn't be able to sell the only ship you have at an AI station. Fix?

Is there any way to have a message pop up if the newbies go a certian distance from the center of a galaxy? The most common question I answer in Help chat by far is "I am lost in space, how do I get back?". If you could have something to tell them to press ctrl then V to get back, or something similar once they are out far enough to make it tough to get back without doing so, that would be great.

actually what i did on my first day in SS was going 50,000 from the sun and wondering why is there nothing here.

"Return to x to turn it in" sounds kinda . . .off

"Report back to x to complete the mission" sounds better, imo

minor touch :P

That's a good point, thanks. I've changed it for the next patch.

the first few bounty hunting missions in sol "kill XX number of goldenboy pyrites/flyswatters" need to be moved to nexus, and level locked to 10 and above. after the last one that is in nexus is finished, then the completed mission text should tell the player the directions to get to sol where they can do more missions, which will put them onto the earthforce chain. just an idea, but it may make it less confusing being out in the real uni for new players

So do you mean to switch the missions to ai's in nexus and in deep space?
There are missions for most of those ai's already. Maybe some pyrites and such could be added to deep.

Have been inactive for a couple of months or so.. just came back.

Maybe show a picture of what a space station actually looks like. I tried helping someone one day by telling them to dock at the station and they just sat there. Couldn't hurt anyways :)

JEFF! Good thing you made this thread. First o've all the newbies have no idea what to do. They fly around like mad trying to blow up planets and stuff. You should make a flashing arrow pointing at the space station and instructions how to dock there come up in a visible pop-up box (similar to pressing x when giving credits to someone.) Next if they go out further then 5000 from the nearest object make another pop-up to give them instructions on how to get back.

Basically make lots of pop-ups telling people what to do and make them visible so they catch the guys attention.
