i would have to say this is indeed a noticable improvement compared to Kattare lol.

what is UDP? plz?
btw i see a problem with firing fast rof weps it doesnt shoot consistently (remember when you guys fixed it?) it shoots 3 shots in a row again and not constantly |

I always thought that was hitting the rof cap, or a physical limit for the server.

It can probably be explained by a number of things, not the least of which being good old fashioned lag.

There is also server lag to take into account. Then you also have to consider the server frame. For example say the server frame is 0.1s and you shoot every 0.11 seconds. So your shots fired might look something like this:
Server Frame - Shot Fired 1 - yes 2 - no 3 - yes 4 - yes 5 - yes 6 - yes 7 - yes 8 - yes 9 - yes 10 - yes 11 - no 12 - yes In the end you get the same DPS, but because the shot can only be fired at a specific interval the gaps in your ROF will make it look a bit broken. Throw in some net lag and you get this kind of effect. One dropped packet will cause all bullet information to wait for it to be redelivered and all the bullets can easily show up in a bunch. |
