Bright or dark ambient?

That bulk one looks alright. I was expecting a bit more of a "metalish" texture on the ships though. Maybe like 10% more contrast between light and shadow.

"shiny" is a post processing effect. He already said that would be coming later.

lol ive always wondered what shots of the bulk trader itself would look like and from just seeing that above image now i know :) and awsome work with the rotating cargo pods is there any chance of similar shots involving the DFs.

Anyway, i love the way the lighting is turning out.

Although i can make adequate judgements as the suns are flat 2D models and therefore don't seem organic.
