While I realize that berserkers have a skill which reduces the size of their weapons (apparently), snipers still have nothing in terms of hull. Pocket universe helps but not a whole lot, and there aren't too many people I know who would compromise damage or range for pure hull. Will combat focus get a small hull bonus for HF/LF or anything for snipers, at least?

Will their be a window mode option for this client or client 2 in the near future?

My questions (marked with asterisk):
Concerning engineers, as I see it there are a few problems, which might even be the cause of engineer to be used as a damage class instead of the support class it was intended to be.
Number one was accounted for in the rebalance, and as far as I could tell it worked. (aug stacking)
* Tweak Factories were always talked about, but never fully implemented in the game; there is one in existence to my knowledge, and it is easily obtainable, at that. There of course needs to be more, perhaps using combinations of the shield and energy commodities in the engineer base in the lyceum.
* After the rebalance, engineers will only be able to use 6 drones no matter what tech they are, so will you take under consideration the fact that each and every damage type is not available at least at tech 20, and maybe even two or more power levels for drones(like low shield big weapon and vice versa)?

Tractors are all good and well, but it doesn’t extend to 20 so the tractor mission is useless. And talking about that, it was discussed that there will be more. I am starting to doubt this :(

It seems to me that one of the problems SS faces is an increasingly bored playerbase, caused in part, at least, by an lack of new and interesting content.
While I understand that, at this point, the rebalance is a major priority, it would be nice if we could have updates on many of the projects we've heard about.
BeanSidhe's junkyards looked very interesting, from the previews, is anything being done with them despite her absence?
Ceal's new UZ should also be interesting, have there been any new developments there?
I also remember Jeff talking about a w4 revamp, potentially involving some new content. He's also mentioned invasions. Are these ideas still being considered?

So, I suppose my question is, "How is the new content coming along?" :P

1 : and only - About that new referal sistem . Im proud owner of few accounts is it banable if i invite my other accounts thrue that? . KK not sure if i can even do ti cos they are p2p allready but lets say for the sake of the argument i can invite them . Is it banable?

2 : On last uni reset i noticed that in fail uni reset gals looked much cooler . Cooler in a way with much more colours and clouds in gals . Specially in one i wanted to take . Was that the figment of my imagination or you tried something new there?

Will ShM be seeing a boost to combat capabilities? or more support options, i.e. in the form of ShM drones (like a charge drone for monks), specialised mission chains (like current DM ones) for high end ShMs and improvements to ShM slaves?

Are there any plans to regulate commodity prices? As it is now, the prices are determined on how greedy the owner is, especially when they have no competition (ada, w4, StM.) w4 has a mission to regulate the price, but the mission is broken.

Secondly, is there going to be any changes to ruins so that we won't be without certain ruin items for universes on end? I know people are interested in doubling/tripling up their money (I didn't do that with my ruins, I sold all my stuff pretty cheaply compared to market price) but when you can't get your hands on certain items at ANY price at all, it pretty much renders them useless.

Both of my questions are about the re-balance.
In order of importance:

1) What exactly are the calculations for stats in the new system? I am looking for a formula that contains variables assuming for aug tweaking, imperial tweaking, 2 augs, 2 skills(excluding zen/control skills), 2 item mods, and one percentage item (like an overloader or shield/energy cap, not expanders)...that should cover everything. I would like the formulas for calculating both positive and negative modifiers. For example, I would like to know how to calculate my total hull, damage, shield bank, and other similar stats, assuming I have the information to fill the variables I have explained above. I'm sure several people would like to know the specifics on how this is figured.

2) What is the reasoning behind limiting the total number of drones someone can deploy (3 for non-drone masters and 6 for drone master 20). It seems that limiting the drones you can deploy based on hull tech is meant to balance DM, but I don't understand why limiting the total number of drones you can deploy, to a set cap that is this low, is necessary in addition to the ship tech limitation, as most small groups of powerful drones are usually far better than large groups of weaker drones.

My question concerns high end commod availability.

Are there any plans to make them more available (eg ada, StM, w4 commods)?

They are all essential to develop a character. Without them the character is goin nowhere and may as well cease playing.

Currently they are in monopoly situations which means they are extremely hard to get (particularly if the owner of the resource is AWOL) and are a times totally unavailable as the monopoly owner is looking adter his own team.

I dont think think limiting the third tier commods to high level galaxies is very equitable either it just seems to lower their overall availability, and badly inhibits the development of mid range characters.

So I decided there were too many good questions to pick just three, so Voomy and I set out to try and bring the total down to 20. Over the next few weeks I will assign specific themes to the questions so we can have more precise things.

Also, I have changed/simplified a lot of the questions for the list, but I know which ones they go with in the thread so I'll have the details if necessary.

  • What of the Drone controllers for the drone re-balance?
  • Are there any plans to have a one off mission to remove augs from our ships without destroying them?
  • Will we ever have a return to more complete station log system that record player activity?
  • Will any weapons be changed in the way they function? (Merc Pulse and BB4)
  • Is there any info on the new slave/drone/fighter control for C2 such as how it will function...?
  • What will happen with cap ships?
  • Will we ever get a proper trading and banking system which matches all other successful MMO's?
  • Will combat focus get a small hull bonus for HF/LF or anything for snipers, at least?
  • Will their be a window mode option for this client or client 2 in the near future?
