This is not an installer, just a zip. There might be a few issues with it, so only install it if you think you need it. I fixed problems with having ' in the names.
Windows: http://www.starsonata.com/chatclient/ChatClientBuild.win32.win32.x86.zip Mac: http://www.starsonata.com/chatclient/ChatClientBuild.macosx.carbon.x86.zip Linux: http://www.starsonata.com/chatclient/ChatClientBuild.linux.gtk.x86.zip Hopefully the mac/linux build works now, i havent tested them though. The Linux build started up fine and let me login. However as soon as I chose a character it just closed, with no error message.
EDIT: I'd also like to add that, as long as I do not choose a character, when I exit out it goes to the tray as it should. There is a problem though with the icon in the tray, it uses the gnome system theme around it instead of my custom panel coloring, resulting in a box around the icon, I've attached a picture to show you what I mean. You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post. _________________ Last edited by FracOMac on Sat Feb 28, 2009 3:47 pm, edited 1 time in total. |

oops, I took too long editing my other post, other stuff there. I've been hunting down that log file since you asked for it last time, not exactly sure where it put it.

Hmm, looking at the html conversation log files, there are team event and chat client messages in all of them for each time I started it up. Hope that helps you get a more accurate picture of what might be going on.

Hope that helps you get a more accurate picture. Yeh, i think it might be the xulrunner, it looks like a windows only thing. Download XULrunner online for your OS and replace the one in the folder, under com.ss.chat.ui http://releases.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla ... /runtimes/ If that works, ill look into packaging them all with the right one. |

ok, I've downloaded what appears to be the correct thing, however the original is a .jar, I assume I need to make the file I downloaded the same (it comes as .tar.bz2) how do I go about doing so?
EDIT: got it as a .jar, something went wrong when I started it up, redownloading and trying everything again to make sure I didn't mess anything up on my own _________________ |

Well simply replacing the file (at least the methods I tried) made it so that it wouldn't even start up. I'd love to help further but I have plans for the rest of the evening and must go. Good luck though!
