no its nothing like that hal, Bases should be compared to Ships, Because there nothing alike.

Gammas before hand have NEVER dented a base, Nor Termites. Even with no charger, And after that i augged with 2 augs, and Termites killed it, So My point still stands.



Hail trevor.. base shields are totaly lame now. atleast make it decent like 2k regen or w/e but 400:/

damp+'s can be on hand at once, armor take 5+ minutes to build.

wel with the new thingy from shadow with 75% resist, allthough they got small blowing chance, but still, I spend also 10b orso on damps last uni, so lets hope its still worth it

Damps will just be there as backups for when they just plow through the armor you build and waste money on.

Dampeners provide bonus shields, and they are a good backup for if/when all ablative armor is blown in an attack, so they aren't entirely useless.

What would be better is if the new items were not Sticky.

some 1b+ damps each will now be backup to a 10m damp? lol dont make me laugh:)

Do you really want bases to be all but invincible?
Because that is what I see this going towards.
Already bases cannot be totally destroyed.
When a team of people band together to signifficantly damage a base it dose not 'die', it dose not come to pieces. The majority of the bases wealth is retained, it is not an end, simply a set back.
There is risk involved in building a base, a colony, owning a system.
By making bases more powerful, more invulnerable you reduce this risk.
You give the universe not to the organized active team and its playerbase but to the rich, powerful, single, player. What is the point of a team when your base is untouchable without even your presence?

I rant, I ramble, I apologize. But this is how I feel.
