Hey Guys,
I've spent the last couple days or so converting parts of the external client's code and adding some new UI to make it into a brand new web chat. I've simplified the UI a ton and made it pretty similar to the SS chat itself. It hasn't been thoroughly tested so this is a beta of sorts. You can access it here: http://www.starsonata.com/webchat/ (login with your SS credentials, but it will log you out of game if its the same account) Features that may not instantly be apparent: - Click name in chat to PM - Double click name in team list to PM - Up arrow in the input field will bring last chats, down will go back down the history of input. Known Issues: - Some / commands won't work (/friends for example) - The first closeable PM tab has a weird close icon sometimes. Future Development: - Logoff button (can be done by closing or refreshing the window) - Sound when receive PM in unfocused tab - Downloadable version? Feedback welcome. I hope you enjoy this better then the external client since there is no download and its much simpler to use. Also it's been tested on Linux (had a bug in Flash's linux implementation we had to work around) and it worked. Requires Flash 9 or later. -pip- |

Java/Flash/Ajax? _________________ "You can sit and bitch, and moan, and cry and complain. I think this messed up my character Zocon. I can no longer log on to him after using the web chat with him. Though I can still login on the web chat using him.
*After logging into the Chat Client on him, then on the test server I was able to again login on him on live server. So problem fixed for now. _________________ |

Very nice! One question tho' .. Does it need same port open as SS client does?
Reason for this question is that i can't make it work on some comps that i have on my disposal. -Thaj _________________ Acta est fabula - plaudite. |

Heh I guess it's a little strange for devs to be complementing each other but, nicely done.

It looks great, but I think I prefer the downloadable chat client for now. =p

The external one allows you to monitor multiple channels in one tab, has font customization, etc. It's more complicated but does have a few extra options. |
