Post The AI Union On Strike thread!
I'm collating all the known AI bugs we're seeing at the moment, for easy reference. If you spot it, please list as many variables as possible; location, type of slave (combat, trade, mining), type of AI, behaviour, whether or not the gal had just woken up and so on and so forth.

  • Mining slaves not working - possible sleepy issue
  • Combat slaves using brakes whilst thrusting - slaves use brakes now?
  • AI in both specific & wild spawners "heading to Andromeda" in straight lines and never stopping (probably goal variable going to high)
  • Drones running out of electricity - AI only so far, probable sleepy code issue on large bank / low regen drones
  • AI miscalculation warp positions - known issue with player parasite weight AP bug, might not be related
  • AI jumping vast distances when jumping into sleepy gals - known & reason known
  • Player Charge drones targeting issues - probably not related, but included just in case
  • Boss / Nasty AI reverting to trading slave behaviour

Mining slaves-Sleeper gal/slaves are when no players are actively in it iirc, and the issue is when the mining TS owned by Char X so inactive and sit still when Char X is in the galaxy. Char Y,Z,etc from the same account have no effect, only the owner. Logged off owner, or if he leaves, slaves return to normal.
Drones running out of elec. Once Armada Ambush drones are empty on Energybank, I have never seen them fire another shot. 0 regen? :|
Charge Drones. I dont know a huge amount about it, other then the fact the RRs range seems to be 70 max, and no Wand is ever used...Its the only healing drone affected...

Ambushes were intended to be like that and have been at -elec for ages unless that was fixed recently (their shields will go to 0 if you leave them out long enough :P)

They dont really serve their initial purpose anymore though so the elec could be beefed :P

Most drones run out of energy, BFDs look like they're running out faster than they used to tbh, not sure though.

My charge drones only seem to use the armada wand on drones, not my ship.

Apparently Vazaha Operative Drones have a problem with their healing too.

Meh, AAs are almost broken imo, with a decent energy, would be the most broken thing ingame.

Combat slaves moves in straight line away.

- slave is actively thrusting and not just drifting
- Usually happens after or in the middle of a fight.
- Happens more often in UZ
- Happens more often when more commands are set on slaves (not too sure about this one)
- setting to "Guard location" and back to "Follow me", "/resetSlave(s)" do fix it, tractoring or warping not
- is present for years now
- probability has, as it seems, increased a lot with introduction of concussions

Aggro behaviour of AIs has changed in the last dekade of patches:

Example: Annaconda
- irregular aggro
- Annaconda also actively aggros Fighters
- aggro stickiness

I'm not sure if this has not been done by intention - which was my original thought; reading about the Hive issue I now think this change may have not been intentional

occasionally when AI spawn they wont move at all until AFTER i shoot them, not sure if it is lag caused, but it has happened repeatedly (including in rumble earlier today)

i have no idea how to reproduce it, but it happens

Not sure if it's a bug but my combat slaves don't cloak when i do. also if they are cloaked when i log off they are uncloaked when i log on. not an energy issue either.

They are not supposed to afaik. They cloak automatically when you undock them (has been added in recently).

That is not always the case you will notice if you look for it.
They are uncloaked once the server restarts (restart, crash, patch).
Docking and undocking will fix them.

copper ai have been going WAAAAAAAAAY out for no reason lately, not sure how it happens or why, just when you come in they're not there... and then 10 mins later they come in from deep space
