That still doesn't explain how some people have been oneshot by the tsunami, with /showpain showing them as taking damage in the hundreds of thousands.

Because he's scripted to use a different weapon with insane damage... I didn't think it was that hard to work out. _________________ Javatech wrote: Battlecruiser23 wrote: I am a Troll, ignore everything I say. JeffL wrote: Are you kidding me? He's scripted to use different tsunami's which everyone claims is laser damage, with different damage types? -_^
EDIT: As for the tsunami device, i suppose its kinda handy in certain circumstances. It's fun to do low level DG's with it; the problem is that the AI are always kicked away from you, so its not like you can actually do maximum damage to any of them xD The other problem is that, lacking modern gear and setups, trying to do an oly run to test it for real would be a major chore. Could we get test updated, please? _________________ JeffL wrote: That's it. I quit! Battlecruiser23 wrote: Fuck you, Cygnus. |

Could we get test updated, please? I think your getting confused, this Special item is for the player ship, not Pretender Poseidon. I have no idea on the damage type of Poseidon' weapon, however, (as I said, only done Poseidon once). But an AI can be scripted to use as many weapons as the person making it wants. If I had been on more runs. I'd be able to give you better information on it. You're talking about the one where he shouts "Tsunami!" right? Also, for Jeff. Something involving Missiles would be cool... Missile Volley or something. Omg, idea. _________________ Javatech wrote: Battlecruiser23 wrote: I am a Troll, ignore everything I say. The Pretender Poseidon's Tsunami is a different item. It does a bunch of damage to its main target which is modified by augs and skills and not diminished by distance. The player version is all splash damage which is not augged and is diminished by distance. Also, I'm still playing around with exactly how much damage the player version does. I just increased it by 4 times to see how that works. (So a fixed 28k theoretical maximum.)

Agreed, I'd love to test the Pos Wave but test is so old I don't even have one in item-form, please update test. _________________ Did you praise the sun today? |

(So a fixed 28k theoretical maximum.) making it so the waves pull you towards the ship might work better it would create a niche for players who use lincins with the ship, so rather than just doing damage, it helps get the enemy within range... which is infinitely more useful than nontweakable damage that pushes your enemies away... (usually the opposite of what you want) |

A certain pirate HAHOHOH+JIM+HAHAHEHE managed to try and Lincin my Engineer last night, he had to log a few seconds later, after using a ton of blockers and afterburners
On topic, I would also like to see test server being updated, if that is where these amazing things can be found at the moment. Also, will there be any chance for the playerbase to suggest some super special inbuilt items in a super special suggestion thread? |

Give the Reaver+ a missile volley. Or a 100% locked engines effect.
