Post Discussion of February 1st Patch
Patch notes are here:
viewtopic.php?f=11&t=50254

Pretty small patch tonight, our hope is to do more frequent and smaller patches rather than big and scary ones.

lets so how long i can stick it ! T_T. although the last time it was said, it wasnt me (as in, it wasnt someone who had any power over the patches ! :P).

There is also the fact that right now im focusing on crashes/performance bugs instead of new features. Those are a lot easier to patch in (less testing required and usually pretty self contained).

no i cant. while its down im not just waiting for it to be up ! :p. im actually doing the patch, you know. stuff ! XD.

I check the dmpfiles everyday, and fix those that can be fixed, so yours will have to wait for next client patch :P

any feedbacks on the performance tweaks would be very appreciated. Most of those were aimed at uz lags in particular (its not perfect yet, i highly suggest doing uz/oly at medium graphic level max if your fps is not capped at 60 all the time).

Just 2 things.
No. 1: Your bloody amazing Jey! My SS is running as smooth as is it on my windows 7 (only has low quality though)

No. 2: I can't seem to find the ship upgrade for the AMS, did you add it?

you cant play medium ? unless you have an incredibly crappy/old graphic card (no pixel shader 2.0+). you should be able to run medium with similar speed as low

what graphic card do you have in here ? if everything went black, it indeed seem like you have no pixel shader support (or your drivers are not installed).

Intel HD Graphics (I think thats what you mean) or maybe the NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M?

Post Re: Discussion of February 1st Patch
oh its one of those double gpu kind of laptop ? the intel hd most likely dont have any pixel shader support (and it seem its what your laptop is trying to use on ss).

the NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M on the other hand, should be able to run ss decently (i wouldnt expect very high on there, maybe not even high, but medium most certainly).

Although i never owned a double gpu (1 low power, 1 performance) laptop, so im not sure as to how the toggle between the 2 is handled.

Hmm, that's fine, I'm ok with playing on low on my mac, I still play 90% on w7. But what's happened with the Ancient Monster Scout, did it get added?
