I forget how the resists get modified), but have 10k shields, as well as have incredible long ranged capabilities and be able to power ACAL's fully. No, Dreadnoughts have 50% resist to most damage, whilst the PBF only has 30%. Now, that might sound trivial, but that's the difference between a 5k hit from a MF reaver and a 7k hit. And your shield bonus went from 700% > 450%. Think about it. |

Taken from the wiki (the GMast stats have been updated but the AoG has not):
AoG: Damage +30%, Range +40%, Hull Space +10%,Energy Recharge +10%, Electric Tempering -20% GMast: Speed +15%, Damage +22%, Hull Space +10%,Rate of Fire +20%, Range +30%, Weapon Hold +10%, Electric Tempering -18% I can confirm the stats on the GMast, but the AoG I cannot. _________________ Blue Dwarf wrote: In space, no one can hear you cha cha cha. |

AoG lost the +10% elec regen. I wasn't kidding about the negatives to stacking them. I might have to tweak the Elec tempering as well. |

You didn't say it lost the elec regen! Blarghfghg.
Well there goes 20% of my elec regen, although a few panels can pick up some of the slack and I still be able to power an ACAL. Regardless of that, I still get +70% elec regen. _________________ Blue Dwarf wrote: In space, no one can hear you cha cha cha. |

That's the idea.
Sure, you can build a fast glass cannon out of the PBF, but you'll have no staying power, and no shield/elec regen to speak of; and you won't be able to use missiles very well. So ~ if you want to use pure weapons as a gunner, you can: but you miss out on parts of the class. On the other hand, if you mix/match your augs, you'll get better results. No different from certain SD or Sniper setups. |

Well, seeing as how I use a cap travel field on my Dread to get decent speed to kite enemies, I end up with only ~200k energy. Since I won't be using a travel field on my PBF (which would be funny if I did because of 90 speed on top of 223), I will have roughly 510k energy. Which means I should have good enough bank to last awhile. As for my shield, regen, and elec, they'll be taking quite a hit.
Overall, I'd say it's a fun and refreshing alternative to tank and spank. It essentially turns my ship into a Sniper/SD combination. I get the speed and weapon damage of SD, with the range and weight of Sniper, along with tons of missile damage _________________ Blue Dwarf wrote: In space, no one can hear you cha cha cha. By the way AEM, if you were to take out the +7% crit chance and replace it with turning, how much could you get? The reason being is most (theoretically) PBF builds will revolve around dodging more shots than a Dread. Because of this, any boost to turning could help immensely.

Dodging shots is really only viable in gunner PVAI. _________________ |

Getting crits chance doesn't matter too much in PvAI because some AI, especially ubers, have high or complete crit hit resistance.

I don't think the critical hit bonus is necessary either, but i don't think it should be assigned to turning.

Personally that seems like a pretty massive nerf to the ship.
Not happy. _________________ http://www.fanfiction.net/u/1408128/Demiser_of_D landswimmer wrote: ALL HAIL CYG THE MESSIAH! |

Well...I just lost roughly half of my tankiness in exchange for the ability to kill things 15% faster and to travel 15% faster. It doesn't seem like the best trade to me...
