It may not be evident to you, but 90 of what every 1.2 seconds? 90 Gigawatts?

Just tried out the new camera, and then reloaded the client without it for comparison.

Is it just me, or am I the only one who can't tell the difference between the new camera and the normal one in a top down perspective? They look identical, the only noticeable difference is when the camera is tilted on the Orthographic settings.

one of the easiest difference is to go over a planet, in top down view on orthographic camera you cant tell your actually speed bumping.

moving around a user base will also show a pretty noticeable different.

Have not played with the new camera but i tried everything i possibly could to get the graphics to go all screwy again and had no success. +1 for the Devmins!

Can you put the option to use the new camera in the OPTIONS window with all the other options. If you have to uninstall the game for whatever reason, the game isn't worth playing anymore.

its an ALPHA option. its not in game options because its a pain in the ass to handle the value changing at run time and it was only an ALPHA test for the new camera to see people reaction. Once its done be assured that there will be an ingame option too.

In the meantime, you dont need to uninstall. if your prestart option are hidden, you can edit configs/userconfig.xml (or delete it) from your ss folder and the option will be back.
