After the patch Dark Kobalstein seems MUCH stealthier then before (Seeing him at maybe 200 as compared to a several thousand). I have tried a couple of spawns, so I doubt it is just stealth auged spawns.

Was this intentional?

Probably to prevent solo snipers. Maybe drag some seer capital ship along with you next time?

The possibility that a couple (two?) spawns ended up with stealthy augmenters is high. He has a lot of augmenter slots. If I get the chance to catch up on some uber runs before the reset I'll do some research on him and his exact amount of augmenter slots, along with finding his normal visibility and required radar strength to see him from a set distance.

It was three spawns in a row; I should have clarified. However, if he has 'a lot' of augmenter slots, stealth auged spawns is still a significant possibility, as all it would really take is one stealth aug (perhaps even a fading aug). I will try this again later.

Try using a really powerful radar like Watchrite when you do him.

Most likely. And most likely also with the negative range aura from Dark Diablo, Callisto and Olympus (pillbox), and probably a few more that I have forgotten.

I tried this, and it worked really well. Too well.

So well, in fact, that I think there is a distinct possibility that I forgot my radar on my previous attempts....
