Hi there, SS community.

Since there has for a long time been a lack of drone variety, especially at tech 21 and tech 19 and below, I have been working on several new lines of drones.

I've added them to be bought from Earthforce Frontier Station in Sol on the test server.

I'll let you guys play around with them for a while. I'm very interested to hear feedback about these drones: don't just say "I don't like them." or "I like them." You need to at least give me a sentence or two about their features. The faster I get feedback, the sooner they will be added to live!

Should probably mention you are a dev (I am assuming?) and/or get Bageese to give you a sweet blue name. At first read-through I assumed you were some f2p.

If I remember correctly, the whole name thing requires some sort of weird operation, like a universe reset, and that's why certain devs (Like Blindside) kept their yellow/white names like a normal player.

Thats for in game, i think its much easier to do that for forums.

I cant get on test server, just keeps downloading patch.

You need to use the regular client, not the beta.

I personally found the T20 Verva drones to be rather light on shields and meh on DPS. I don't really see myself using them over any other drones as is, but if they're easily obtainable I can see them being used by lower end high level Engineers.

The Anti-Capital drones on the other hand are a really nice addition, I think they'll be great for DGing or doing anything that requires mining damage over other damage types. Frankly I'm just glad we have a "real" T21 mining drone.

Frag drones also seem like they'll be a great addition for clearing out groups.

It's a whitelist permissions thing on the forums and one of the people who managed that before was Julian. I don't think they had a dedicated web guy for a while, which is probably why Blindside didn't get blue immediately, just "at some point".

Verv drones need more damage and shields.

Changed up the veraardiger drones a little. Still waiting on feedback for the other drones. It can't go on live if it's not tested! If you need some things to test it properly, like Piracy, then just talk to me when you see me, or even send me a forum pm.

Changed up the Electricity requirements on all of the drones, and beefed the DPS of the Capital Defense Platform series.

Still want some feedback on the agent drone series, the alpha drone, and the spotty drone.

-The T20 agent drone is decent. I tested it on a BG, it did decent dps.
-The Alpha drone does not impress me much, it uses too much electricity.
-The Spotty drone is amazing. I love it's range
-The Verv drones are still meh. Shit range on their lincin-type weapons and their damage.. boring. They took too long to kill Nephils.
-The Frag drones are very good. I love their damage. Pretty useful for taking out multiple targets.
-The T21 Capital Defense Platform is useful for taking out random AIs that attack you in peril/subspace etc. while on autopilot. Not sure about their use on other classes though since other classes don't give much bonuses to drones.

These drones were tested on a HM engi with the following augmenter setup:
2 Hephaestus General Mode Augmenter, Ares Offensive Mode Augmenter, Zeus Everlasting Mode Augmenter. I used a firing controller.

Oh and I did not test the T22 Agent and Verv drone since I don't have a T22 engineer instead I have a T22 ShM.

Might want to keep in mind that test server has a 3/sec RoF cap in case any of the drones would be breaking that.
