Alright, here's a new idea. I'm creating this topic so we players can get to know our devs, mods, and the SS team in general, better. Every week, i'm gonna post a new post directed at a specific SS staff member. it will include 2 standard questions, and one specifically for that dev. so, back in a sec with question 1!

alright, question 1 goes to JeffL! please answer all three questions. 1.how many hours weekly do you dedicate to star sonata? 2.what current content originated from you? and our Jeff-specific question, 3. what made you decide to purchase Star Sonata from Adum? I await (and welcome) your answer!

1. I aim for about 20 hrs/week.
2. Define "current content". Do you mean things that are currently in the game? Because there isn't a whole lot that once was, but was taken out. Do you mean "content" like we mean it (custom galaxies, missions, AI's), or more broadly, like game features? 3. Adum started the game, and fairly quickly Mooster & I joined him. The three of us were there when the original LLC was founded and up through launch. Not too long after the launch, it was looking like, while SS was semi-successful, it wasn't going to make anyone rich, or really earn anything close to an average Silicon Valley salary, and Adum wanted to get married and live like an adult. Adum and Mooster pretty much drifted away after the launch, but I kept working on it. At some point, I knew that I loved SS too much to ever stop working on it, but I didn't want to put all my effort into it while only owning 25% of the company while the people owning the other 75% weren't doing anything, so I decided I would have to buy it out to get all the ownership to make it worth my while. _________________ For support, please create a support ticket here and I will get back to you as soon as possible. You probably lost more players because of the mislabeling of items. 1. Drone s/b MINE 2. Slave s/b DRONE 3. Suns doing damage ... pilots fly around them DUH! 4. Then adding stupid effects that have no sceintific basis. 5. None of you could navigate a toy boat in a bathtub. A 'slave' enters a gal and heads to a base... playing catch-up rather than heading to where the base will be when it gets there. If you three knot heads had been working for NASA we'd have never landed on the Moon or Mars. It's not too late to fix the blatent errors and correct the science. |

Part of the art of game creation is doing things a little bit differently to create a unique feel. We are not trying to create a science fiction virtual reality simulation.

Bonecrusher, if you want this game to be realistic and scientific, then why don't you get them to remove sound effects?
