What is being done to update the wiki?
Currently the wiki is a mess. New stuff is coming out all the time but is not being added to the wiki and what is there is frequently pre SS2. BTW before you say that the wiki is a fan- operated site, it used to be, before it was stolen stolen by Julian (a former SS developer) and included in this site. That makes it an SS admin responsibility. The wiki in such poor condition, within the SS site, does not make the game look good. It seems to me that the logical solution is for the wiki to be updated as part of the game update process. |

You should be able to add stats to the wiki by right clicking it and choosing to "Update Lyceum Archives" or something like that. Why? Because the people that actually want to spread knowledge and information would be able to do so. While the information warfare folks can choose to keep the stats to themselves if they'd like. It would take some extra work, but I promise you it would be EXTREMELY useful for new players to this game. Most other games I've come accross have developer owned wiki's. GW2, for example, has a wiki that is linked to the game and that has up to date game stats displayed on its pages. _________________ http://www.starsonata.com/suggestions |

How long have you been a dev now?
How long were you a player before then, if you played? How much time do you spend working for/volunteering for SS? Any plans for new advertising campaigns before the Steam release? Any ETA on the Steam release? What is the next huge surprise in store for us Sonatians? _________________ Lemon/Meo |

GW2, for example, has a wiki that is linked to the game and that has up to date game stats displayed on its pages. I've really wanted to look into this and seem what it would entail to get some form of automated transfer from client to the wiki. I know it'd be huge but even if it is just pushing the preformated text into your clipboard it'd be a help. I've done much smaller stuff like it before and it'd be huge but at least let someone try, I know it'd be helpful overall for the life of the wiki and a lot for the game. Or even just getting someone with higher level access to the wiki. I know there are quite a few people that work on the wiki often that should at least be able to delete and merge pages and edit page styles and such. There's so many workarounds pushed into those pages that its getting absurd. But enough for taking over Suits Q&A, I do have a real question: Why not tuxedos? And what's the name of your position? Are you QA or like lead QA or what? _________________ |
