The wiki thing had been officially suggested, and people were largely in support of it. The thing everyone wanted was for it to only have things added that were on the market place or that a player themselves decided to push to the wiki... Come on guys.

Would we as players really ask you about something that hadn't been begged for already?

I and other players begged so much that ergosphere himself started working on the converting processes necessary and asked Jeff directly if it was OK... -_-

Make the text from popups /chats able to be highlighted/copied and it would be incredibly easy to copy stats from items to the wiki, and would encourage a lot more people to actually do it

This x100, same thing with missions, no one is going to retype the mission text for missions.

Also can we get all the item stats/uninstalled bps to be formatted like installed bps, having all the stats/build requirements smashed all together makes it very hard to read.

I'll actually comment on this since I do a lot of editing, I personally disagree with this because of how the wiki works, you can't just copy something and throw it onto the wiki, you need to take only the numbers and put them into the correct cells, with the exception of things like augmenters that are a list of stats that they give.

But missions? Yeah, that would be great as the main issue with adding missions to wiki is that it's rather annoying, for starters.

And having blueprints look like what they are on the wiki for build costs and such would be helpful too, especially when on the edge of the tooltip it cuts off text, leaving you to guess what number is there.


If you really want the wiki to be fully updated, then help update it. If players alone couldn't do it, then I'm not sure how its come so far already. Don't know how to add stuff to wiki / no time? If it's on /mc, then you can PM me the name if it's not on wiki and I'll go add it in, if it's not, add it to a tradebay to a base I have access to or take a screenshot of the tooltip for it, and I'll use that.

Don't complain to the devs, asking them to make the wiki autoupdated and such. Ask them to make it easier to wiki edit.

Drones, for instance. Do you know how much DPS your drones do? How much elect regen they have, vs their firing costs? You have to test that stuff manually, if the devs integrated a drone stats window similar to a ship stats screen, and possibly allowing us to check their inventories, then not only would you know what your drones are like, but the wiki can actually get some proper drone stats because of that. Imagine if your weapons didn't have that tooltip full of info like damage, range, etc., that's basically what it's like for drones, probably not very fun for engineers.

But hey, what would I know about the wiki, right?
